![]() ![]() Anyway, I'm looking through hundres of laptops when I see a sony that has a surfcam sticker on the top, I turn it on and it has surfcam and solidworks office pro! wehew I asked the lady how much and she said ahh. ![]() It's basicly an outlet that sells what people loose through the airlines. So at least one of the CAM companies won't rob ya. Ok just got off the phone with the sales guy at Surfware, if the dongle is proven to be bad they will replace it, but if it's the older parallel dongle it may be harder to replace, they do not have many left, but they will exchange the dongle for a USB for $100, anytime if bad or not. hell if your water pump in your car goes out thats at least a couple of hundred if you don't do it yourself or a board in your CNC $2k at least. If they charges $250 to $500 to replace your broken dongle that is reasonable. Now I agree that a new seat for a broken dongle would qualify as "no longer avalable and cannot be replaced. If CNC asks you for full price isn't that essentially saying your dongle can't be replaced, here buy a new seat? If that dongle is for version 9 or earlier then can't is exactly what it is.įWIW I'm only using MC as an example because that is the system we have and CNC and Gibbs are the only 2 CAM manufacturers I've personally dealt with.as for lost/stolen dongles.we had 4 computer taken from a breakin.had insuracne on them and they bitched ( the insurance company that is) but they paid full price. This was my point in the previous thread (len are you listening?).
